A Fella Who Kicks People in the Head for a Living Meets with a Reality TV Star

Rockaway Park, NY – March 18th, 2025 

It’s hard to deal with all of this isn’t it?  Conor McGregor is a MMA fighter. A man who kicks people in the head for a living. He spoke at the White House on St. Patrick’s Day. I can only assume he was there to represent the mythical snake that Patrick banished? No?  I don’t know. I didn’t watch it. I won’t watch it. Seemingly he said something about the country being ruined by immigrants? Ireland, a country that has populated half the f’n planet is now ruined my immigrants, says he. Which suggests to me, that despite his accolades, he has received too many kicks to the head himself. He could use a few more though. If my tone annoys you, you may be pleased and unsurprised to learn I’ve received quite a few in my time too. Thankfully not from him.

I will be singing my heart out this Friday at New York’s legendary Bitter End. Everyone has played there. Joni Mitchell, Joan Baez, Taylor Swift, Paul Simon, John Prine… I mean it’d be easier for me to try to find people who hadn’t played there.
