One bends down to pick up a tiny dog pooh with the doggie bag. All the while tut-tutting at the horse poop. They have enough doggie bags between them to pick up the offending horseshit themselves. They select instead the warm comfort of inaction and passive outrage.
Meanwhile a disappointed cyclist sees a fifty plastic cups and one hundred plastic spoons littered in the sand. He can stop and spend a few minutes picking it up or complain, do nothing, wait for the tide to take it and weep for some future dead whale.
